Meet Judy Vlastakis
The Reserve at Rancho Mission Viejo is fortunate to have the assistance of Judy Vlastakis. Judy has been a talented, hardworking, and vivacious volunteer for the Reserve since early 2009. In that time she has been an avid and steadfast volunteer naturalist during the school field trips seasons. Being a former school teacher, she brought her years of experience out into the field. Her enthusiasm is infectious and children listen to her closely when she is teaching about earth science, wildlife adaptations, or other wildlife themes.
In addition Judy volunteers her time and expertise at many public programs offered at The Reserve. She also volunteered for 10 straight weeks at our recent Boys and Girls Club programs where she helped teach about tarantulas, slime in nature, owl pellet dissection, and many other fun nature topics! Judy volunteers in many others ways such as sewing tablecloths for the Outreach Booth’s tables, cleaning out the huge storage container, sorting and refurbishing the school supplies, and…well, you get the point. She is one of those volunteers that you always dream will walk through your doors. Her energy and smiles will bring warmth to any event.
We are all grateful to Judy for volunteering her time, and for sharing her expertise, kindness, enthusiasm and dedication to The Reserve at Rancho Mission Viejo.
