It was a beautiful day for Dr. Jane Horlings to lead her students on our Sycamore Trail to learn about different plants, their adaptations and uses. We saw lots of beautiful plants in bloom like shooting stars, blue eyed grass, popcorn flower and wild hyacinth. We watched hawks soar and even learned about trap door spiders and an insect called cochineal that is used to make red dye and lives on prickly pear cactus.
