January 16, 2017 MLK Day of Service Event

Taking place each year on the third Monday in January, the Martin Luther King Day of Service is the only federal holiday observed as a national day of service – a “day on, not a day off.”

We had a wonderful group of nearly 30 volunteers helping Reserve staff  transform our grounds into an outdoor classroom. Participants will help to create walking paths and teaching stations, clear invasive weeds all in preparation for our initial first grade field trip!
