First Annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013
Last Saturday, in honor of our highest hourly serving volunteers The Reserve had our first annual volunteer appreciation dinner. Hosted by Mike Evans at the beautiful Tree of Life Nursery, volunteers had fun with a scavenger hunt to learn about interesting features of the nursery, an educational presentation given by the Orange County Bird of Prey Center and treated to fire grilled carne asada with many other delicious Mexican inspired pot luck side dishes. Certificates were presented during dessert and coffee. We are ever grateful to all of our volunteers who help us do much more than we would otherwise be able to accomplish with our staff. Service includes: trail maintenance, weeding, program leads and assistance, outreach and office volunteers. These are truly wonderful people who help make The Reserve a very special place to visit.
