Ahhh…Yoga in Nature
0 Comment
February 2, 2013: When one thinks of yoga they probably think of an indoor studio, but practicing yoga outdoors is something everyone should try. Instead of looking at walls, windows and floors, participants get to see rolling green hillsides, an expansive blue sky, and early budding wildflowers. The air is fresh and gently perfumed with the leaves of coastal sagebrush, and simply becoming aware of one’s breath brings a sense of joy. Our Yoga in Nature hike on Saturday, February 2nd was all that and more, and everyone who experienced it left with a smile on their face, a feeling of peace in their hearts, and a respect for the beautiful native habitats of The Reserve. Many thanks to yoga instructor Carolyn Hooks for leading this event.
