May Astronomy Night
May 11, 2013: Despite a fogged out amphitheater, skies were clear enough elsewhere to watch an entertaining and educational sky tour at May’s Astronomy Night. Due to the flexibility and ingenuity of our volunteer astronomers, everyone was able to view through the telescopes and see some wondrous heavenly objects. We were able to see the big dipper, parts of Orion, Jupiter and “Oh Wow!” Saturn with its rings, among many other objects. Everyone enjoyed themselves and thanks to our volunteers, Mike, James, Avi and newest volunteers Mark and Laurie this event, though not the typical astronomy night experience on The Reserve, was still very rewarding.
