Twilight in the Trees

April 26, 2013:  What better way to spend Arbor Day than among the oaks and sycamores on The Reserve.  As we meandered along the trails of sycamore canyon, participants enjoyed activities all about trees.  We studied the world’s tallest, oldest and biggest trees.  We also enjoyed seeing all three species of oaks found on The Reserve; Coast live oak, Scrub oak and the rarer Englemann Oak.  We heard screech owls and watched bats fly overhead.
