July 26, 2014 Astronomy Night

It was a monsoonal evening but the winds blew some of the clouds out enough to view Mars and Saturn briefly. We saw a few stars and other objects along with 3 satellites. We also were able to see some wildlife such as bats and a tarantula hunting for food and a mate. We heard a screech owl as well. Lola and Max did a very fun skit of astronomy jokes it was great! Over all it was a fun night even with the clouds that didn’t blow out. Thank you to our volunteer astronomers: Mike, Gary, James, Avi,Vishnu, Neelam, Keith, Lola and Max.
