January’s Astronomy Night
0 Comment
January 12, 2013: It was a beautiful, extremely clear but chilly night Saturday during our Astronomy event. Winter garments were a must. Our volunteer astronomers entertained and educated us on the constellations, planets and nebula as we watched various shooting stars pass overhead and peered through the telescopes. Rarely are OC skies clear enough to see Eridanus, the River: http://earthsky.org/tonight/eridanus-a-river-of-stars but it was visible that evening.
We had lots of terrific questions from our patrons and everyone enjoyed the evening.
