February 6, 2016 Astronomy Night
0 Comment
On a crystal clear night we heard tales of mythology and science facts about what we were viewing in the evening sky. Our volunteer astronomers helped us understand what we were seeing in the telescopes as well as with our bare eyes. We viewed reddish Betelgeuse, Alberio-a beautiful blue and yellow double star, as well as the Orion Nebula- a star nursery. We saw many asterisms and constellations as well.
Thank you to Mike, Spence, Gary, Keith, Andy, Kayla, Lola, Sam, and Bill, our wonderful volunteers who helped make this evening possible!
