Family Insect and Arthropod Walk
June 7, 2014 On Saturday 21 people took a walk on the wild side. Walking up and down hills, through coastal sage brush and under oak woodland canopies, everyone was on the lookout for creeping, crawling, and flying insects (and other little creatures). We saw beautiful tarantula hawk wasps, stink beetles, trap door spider, scorpion and tarantula holes, many types of ants, flies, bees and small beetles, butterflies, spiders, insect galls and much more.
