August 3, 2013 Astronomy Night

We had a very nice astronomy night last Saturday! Weather held out just long enough too! Over 35 people joined us to see Venus and Saturn,a few meteors, many constellations and the stories behind them, Ring Nebula, bi-colored dual stars, an Irridium flare, the international space station passed over twice and so much more. Mike gave the star tour with funny jokes. Everyone enjoyed cookies and hot cocoa as the night went on. The volunteers who help are fantastic!! Thanks to Mike, James, Avi, Mark and Duana, we can’t do these events without you!!
