What a nice evening for star and planet gazing! And an exciting moment at check in happened when a big Jerusalem Cricket scurried across the road. This evening we were able to view Saturn, Jupiter and Mars and some of their moons. We saw a couple satellites cross the sky until they disappeared into the Earth’s shadow. Several Messier objects we viewed through the telescopes and Mike pointed out many constellations, while Keith explained a little about the Theory of Relativity and the speed of light. The coyotes howled for a little while as well. Thank you to all the volunteers who made this a great event: Mike, Lola, Gary, James, Spence, Keith, Kayla, Andy, Bill and Sam.
