April 18, 2015 Astronomy Night
We had a wonderful display in mostly clear skies of Venus and Jupiter, the international space station, an iridium flare and a North Korean satellite flew over along with several meteors. The mystery of the evening was flashing sky behind one of the hills. We still are not sure what that was about. We viewed the Orion nebula, and many constellations and various stars. It was a very fun evening. Thanks to our volunteer astronomers: Mike, Gary, James and Tiffany for sharing your knowledge and equipment. Thank you also to volunteer Brendon for helping with the event and keeping the hot cocoa flowing.
