2014 Christmas Bird Count and January Bird Walk

December 2014, January 2015   The Reserve hosted two recent birding events. Citizen scientists counted birds on the Conservancy and at Horno Basin for the nationwide 115th Annual Christmas Bird Count. There was also a Bird Walk in January in Ladera Ranch along the Sienna Botanica and the ponds at Horno Basin. Birding is a fun hobby where you can observe both common and rare birds in their natural habitats, where they are an important part of the ecosystem.
