Boys and Girls Club Wildlife Workshops

Winter 2014:  The Reserve just finished up a month long series of Wildlife Workshops at the San Clemente Boys and Girls Club.  The themes ranged from Reptiles, Spiders and Insects, Owl Pellet Dissection to Living in a Rock Neighborhood (how animal and plants use rocks).   There were many hands-on activities and visits by Reserve animal ambassadors like Rosy the Rosy Boa snake and Chris Velvet the Tarantula.  This was a free after school program for kids in grades 2-5 and each session was full of wonderfully enthusiastic kids learning about the wildlife in our local hills.
