Middle Ridge Hike
February 23, 2014: A group of enthusiastic hikers journeyed The Reserve trails Sunday morning. The invigorating hike started off at the magnificent 500-year-old Mother Oak, continued up the Middle Ridge trail, over to Wilson’s Camp and ended in Shady Canyon among the Sycamores. Hikers conquered the steady incline, and were rewarded with views of Rainbow Mountain, the Sister Oak and the deep canyons below. We encountered a precious group of mule deer, a vibrant Jerusalem cricket and colorful wildflowers as we enjoyed the morning sun in the quiet peace of The Reserve.
