Co-existing with Coyotes Workshop
0 Comment
September 12, 2012: At the Reserve’s “Co-existing with Coyotes” workshop, participants were introduced to a basic understanding of coyote biology, the coyote’s place in the ecosystem, and awareness of the human role in coyote behavior. In addition, participants were able to study and touch a coyote skeleton, hear coyote vocalizations, as well as feel a coyote pelt.
Through this workshop, participants learned what can be done around their homes and neighborhoods to keep coyotes from becoming habituated and in turn decrease the chance of a negative encounter with a coyote.
