2013/11/03 Scout Walk

On a cool Sunday, twenty five energetic Tiger Cubs, dads and moms, came for a walk with the purpose of earning their “Wildlife Conservation” belt loop. The boys climbed a hill where they saw “Rainbow Mountain” and learned about natural resources and why it is important to protect them. They learned about endangered species, food chains, and how each plant and animal is interconnected. They saw the remnants of an owl pellet which contained the bones of its food prey – the woodrat. The Tiger Cubs completed a scavenger hunt which brought everyone into a wonderful world of discovery.
