Take in the stunning views of winter on the Richard and Donna O'Neill Conservancy, a special place on The Nature Reserve. Start the year right with a moderately-paced hike in nature.
Hike Description: This 3.5 mile guided hike will begin with a short walk along a paved road to the Sycamore Loop trail. The single-track Sycamore Loop trail is an easy-moderate trail through grasslands, winter plants and among the canopy of the oaks. We will connect to Middle Ridge trail via backroad trail. Both are wide trails with some moderate elevation changes, including inclines, declines and flat areas. Along Middle Ridge trail, enjoy expansive views of The Nature Reserve, Ranch lands, and local mountain ranges. The hike will end along Gato Road where we will visit Mother Oak, the oldest tree on The Nature Reserve.
The hike will be moderately paced for the group with stops to enjoy the views.
