The Reserve presently totals approximately 6,500 acres including The Richard and Donna O’Neill Conservancy, the Ladera Ranch Open Space and other dedicated open space associated with the new villages of Sendero and Esencia on Rancho Mission Viejo. Over time The Reserve will grow to include 20,868 acres of Rancho Mission Viejo lands. The map below shows both The Reserve and the County of Orange habitat reserve lands that together make up the Southern Subregion Habitat Reserve.
